“Call for HWK Fellowship Applications”

 The 2024 Call for Fellowship Applications at the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg Institute for Advanced Study Delmenhorst (HWK) is now open.

Two different programs for Fellowships in residence at the HWK are available:

  1. HWK Regular/ Junior Fellowships,
  2. Joint Research Fellowships with the Oldenburg School of Medicine and Health Sciences

(Please note that H4All Junior Fellowships are currently suspended until the grant for the Excellence Cluster will have been renewed.)

 In all cases, the deadline is July 15 (the only deadline in 2024). 

After a successful evaluation by the HWK Advisory Board in late autumn, accepted Fellows may start their residence on a flexible schedule with apartments available from late autumn 2025 onwards.

 HWK Regular/ Junior Fellowships

Residential Fellowships for 3-10 months for researchers in HWK’s “Brain & Mind” area encompassing a wide range of academic disciplines including for example: neurosciences, cognitive sciences, biology, psychology, medicine, philosophy, pharmacology, computer sciences, linguistics, educational sciences, physics, media sciences, history, cultural sciences/anthropology. Joint Research Fellowships with Oldenburg School of Medicine and Health Sciences

Two 6-months residential Fellowships for researchers in all fields of medicine and health sciences, project to focus on clinical research or digitalization in medicine and health sciences. Collaboration with a host at Oldenburg’s Medical School is required. Guest scientist contract at Oldenburg and residence at HWK are provided.
